Still at it

So i am still trying to get my freelance career going, hopefully it will take off before I end up homeless. This really sucks. I really busted my ass as a carpenter. I was working 10 and 12 hour days, hell I actually made OK money. But when you grow up with shitty credit it just hangs on you like a damn disease, no bank will ever give a carpenter a loan. I tried once, the banker said I had the best propasal they ever saw. But with no colateral to back it up, you still can't get anywhere. So now at 36 and changing careers is a real pain. I re-educated myself, went and got a degree with a 3.8GPA - thats not bad for a high-shool drop-out.

But just like the bad credit disease, the "I used to be a carpenter" disease follows you around and you go to 100 interviews and leave feeling great but you just never get that magic "your hired" phone call.

So if any teens ever read this take note - Dont ever quit school - dont ever be a friggin carpenter. Because in the end, when your back gets screwed up your broke ass boss will tell you "I'm just a carpenter too, what the hell makes you think I got any more money than you."
